Why is the October 18 schedule confusing?

The September 11 press report from Seoul listed October 11 as Moonlight Jamsugyo and October 18 as Jamsugyo Refresh Day. The official website now says otherwise. Moonlight Jamsugyo, planned for October 11, will run on October 18, and Jamsugyo Refresh Day is shown as the October 11 event.

So if you rely only on the press release or articles copied from it and go thinking the 18th is Refresh Day, you may find things don't match. Before you leave, open the website's date-by-date guide once more.

The checked date is 2026-10-12. The website's notices may change again after that.

How do you check the time and place for October 18?

The common operation is on Jamsugyo and around Banpo Hangang Park every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. However, the detailed time, place, and cost of Moonlight Jamsugyo on October 18 are not in the sources I checked. Do not build your schedule on a guessed start time, and go by the website's guidance on the day.

Some programs need advance reservations. The October 11 Refresh Day took reservations from 5 p.m. on October 9 to 2 p.m. on October 10, and you had to bring your own yoga mat. The sources I checked do not say whether the October 18 program has reservations. The Moonlight Picnic Lounge is said to run on advance reservation, so if you want to use it, see its page on the same website.

What about vehicle control and entrance fees?

The website says only that there is traffic control every Sunday in September and October, and links the specific sections and times to its "Traffic Control" page. If you are going by car, look at that page first and plan for public transit or a walking route as well.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism festival information lists entry as free and only some programs as paid. The organizer is the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Future Hangang Headquarters, and the inquiry number is 02-6401-9717.

Is the final Sunday, October 25, confirmed?

Not yet. The website lists the October 25 Jamsugyo Chicken Day as still recruiting participating vendors and says the event may change or be canceled. If you scheduled your trip around the last weekend, check before leaving whether the official run notice has been posted. The organizers also ask people not to spread unconfirmed information until the official run is confirmed.
